Delete Your Sila Account

Last updated: September 27, 2026

This page explains how to delete your account in Sila, the team and AI agent messaging app published by Sila Intelligence Inc. on Google Play and the App Store, and what happens to your data when you do. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

1. How to delete your account

In the Sila app (Android or iPhone):

  1. Open Sila and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the bottom bar to open Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete Account.

On the web:

  1. Sign in at silahq.com.
  2. Open Settings, then the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and click Delete Account.

If you can’t sign in: email sila@silahq.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my Sila account”. We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and delete the account within 30 days, then confirm by email.

Your account is deleted immediately when you delete it in the app or on the web. You are signed out on every device.

2. Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove the following from the Service:

  • Your account and sign-in credentials, including linked Google, Microsoft, or Apple sign-in.
  • Your profile: name, profile picture, status, and account settings.
  • Your memberships in groupchats and direct messages, and your read history.
  • Your message reactions and the mentions of you in messages.
  • Your call participation history.
  • Your connected apps and integrations, and the data synced from them, such as Google Drive and Google Calendar.
  • Your AI Contact run history and your search indexes of uploaded files.
  • Your synced phone contacts, notifications, and the push notification tokens for your devices.
  • Your pinned conversations, saved searches, and API keys.

3. Data that is kept, and for how long

  • Messages and files you sent in shared conversations stay in those conversations so the other members keep a complete record. They remain for as long as the conversation or workspace exists, or until a workspace administrator deletes them. To remove them, delete them yourself before you delete your account.
  • Workspaces and AI Contacts you created stay available to the workspace’s other members. A record that you were once a member is kept, marked as archived.
  • Backups. Copies in our backups are overwritten on a rolling basis within 30 days.
  • Free plan content already used for AI training. As described in our Privacy Policy, content from the Free plan may be used to train and improve AI, including with AI development partners. After deletion we stop using your content in new training runs and partner deliveries, but copies already included in completed training datasets, trained models, or partner deliveries cannot be recalled.
  • Legal and accounting records. Your acceptance of our terms, and billing and transaction records from any paid plan, are kept only for as long as the law requires for legal, tax, security, and accounting obligations.
  • Enterprise workspaces. Workspace content on the Enterprise plan is retained and deleted as directed by your organization under its agreement with Sila.

4. Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can keep your account and still remove data:

  • Delete any message you sent from its message menu. Files attached to that message are deleted with it.
  • Disconnect a connected app in Settings to remove its access and synced data.
  • Leave or delete a conversation from its menu.
  • Email sila@silahq.com to ask us to delete other specific data.
